Sports Apparel Retailer Rally House Grows Brick-And-Mortar Footprint

Sporting apparel retailer Rally House is growing its brick-and-mortar presence by opening its first stores in Oklahoma and Indiana, according to announcements from the company.

The Oklahoma store opened last week at the Penn Square Mall. It is near a Starbucks and Bath & Body Works.

“We have catered to displaced Oklahoma and Oklahoma State fans for years in DFW and up in Kansas but now can support them closer to home in Oklahoma City,” CEO Aaron Liebert said in an announcement.

Rally House Penn Square Mall will sell clothing for teams such as the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Oklahoma State Cowboys and the Oklahoma Sooners in addition to “local apparel.”

The Indiana store opened this week at the Greenwood Park Mall. It is in the vicinity of an Express and a Bath & Body Works.

“With locations in Chicago, Dayton and Cincinnati, Indianapolis is a natural fit for our expansion. Indiana has sports in the DNA with so many teams and events hosted here annually,” Liebert said in an announcement.

Rally House Greenwood Park will sell clothing for teams such as the Indiana Hoosiers, the Indiana Pacers and the Indianapolis Colts in addition to “local apparel.”

Rally House also offers an eCommerce shopping experience website, which showcases a full collection of items found in more than 80 brick-and-mortar locations throughout the country.

The news comes as shoppers are enjoying — and maintaining — the active lifestyle modifications they made during the pandemic, Dick’s Sporting Goods said in late May as it reported record first-quarter sales and earnings and bolstered its full-year outlook.

“The strength of our diverse category portfolio, supply chain, technology capabilities and omnichannel execution helped us continue to capitalize on strong consumer demand,” CEO Lauren Hobart, said, noting a bounce in Dick’s team sports business “as kids began to get back out on the field after a year in which many youth sports activities were delayed or canceled.”
